Starting July 17th April will be teaching teens to screenprint. Classes will level up with prerequisites required before advancing. Silkscreen, a.k.a. serigraphy, is great for making editions, large works, and t-shirts.

Monday July 17th from 11a.m. – 1p.m. is the first intro class of basics using pre-cut fish stencils to screen three colors layered on paper. No need to register separately, just go sign up and pay in the Square Store.

Intro – pre-cut fish stencils with screens setup and registered for teens to pull some prints on paper with 3 colors. (one day for 2 hours, $25)
Beginner – Choice of artwork from provided stencils, instruction to set up the screen, register the artwork, and squeegee acrylic ink through, as many as 4 colors to make a small edition. (one day for 5 hours, $75)
Intermediate – (prerequisite: Intro or Beginner) Students will be allowed to come up with their own simplified artwork after seeing professional screenprinted works. They’ll learn to break it down into 4 or fewer colors, then cut their own stencils. They will learn color mixing when needed, then print a small edition. (two days at 4 hours each, $140)
Advanced – (prerequisite: Intermediate) Students will have complete freedom to create simplified imagery, access to stencil cutting tools, choice of working on a t-shirt with fabric ink or larger paper using acrylic ink and a larger screen. Allowed up to 5 color separations. Mostly independent with feedback and assistance. (up to two days at 5 hours each, $150)

Intro: Monday July 17, 11:00am – 1:00pm
Beginner: Friday July 21, 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Intermediate: Fridays July 28 & Aug 11, 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Advanced: Fridays Aug 18 & 25, 12:00pm-5:00pm if needed

Other Options:
• All levels in one week: The July 24-27 camp may be converted to a Teen Screen camp

• Saturdays once school resumes – teens will also have the opportunity to learn screenprinting on select Saturdays beginning in September.

Maximum of 8 students, no minimum enrollment.

$65 discount if signing up for all three levels, only $300 for 23 hours of class!
