Let’s make Artingales thrive again!

Lemon Aid is a crowdfunding request to revive operations after the Artingales classroom had to close due to mandatory renovation requirements that cannot be met at this time.

Please indicate which ways you’d like to help in the form below.
If you are sending an image, please email to april@artingales.org or artingales@gmail.com. All artwork must be lemon themed, either overtly or abstractly.

Milestones

  1. – obtain loan to pay insurance installments & licensing renewals (Complete, thank you, Angel Lender!)
  2. – seek out alternate classroom location (In Progress)
  3. – announce a lemon themed call for art (July 12th Anniversary)
  4. – Compile images to sell calendar or coffee-table book (through Aug)
  5. – Run a gofundme or kickstarter to finance printing if adequate submission, or to secure new teaching space. (TBD)
  6. – Exhibit originals with 30% commission (if commercial space obtained)
  7. – Deliver printed goods & send thank yous (After Aug 31)
    Wrap-up Priorities: Pay off loan, Produce printed items, Contract for teaching space, Exhibition & Exchange, Send thank yous.

Need to know

  • You retain full rights to submitted images and grant temporary license for this fundraiser, set to end approximately Aug. 31, 2024. You’re giving permission to:
    • Exhibit online with credit during the fundraiser
    • Share with a professional printer for calendar or book
    • Distribute through final printed product and marketing
    • Digital archive if participating in print exchange
  • Print exchange will only happen if at least (10) U.S. artists are interested.
  • Calendars or books will be sold once enough artwork is submitted.
  • Only images with adequate resolution and clarity will be included for print.
  • Any use of images will include credit if provided by the artist.
    • You must let April know if you also want artist contact / website information displayed with images. Your name or pseudonym will be included automatically.
  • If exhibiting originals or editioned prints, artist receives 70% with 30% to fundraiser.
  • Printmaking memberships with press use will only be offered if a long-term space is secured.
  • Your address is being collected for thank yous, deliveries, and payouts where applicable.
  • If you indicated a different form of aid, you’ll get another email response from me.
